How that is done to obtain success in life with the smooth

The cost to pay for erecting the protagonists in the creation of our own life, is to assume the risk of making our decisions, build our own way even advise ignoring what the “official mapping”, being aware that the detours, the pitfalls and frustrations are an unavoidable part of this process of learning and transformation.

Jorge Luis Borges maintained that “There are losses that have more dignity than win it.” In this sense we could say that there are any setbacks or frustrations that give us more wisdom than all the social assumptions that we achieve success. However, many times throughout our lives we opt for what appears to be the roads safer or more comfortable.

Thus we decided to pursue a career because we think that we will provide greater economic welfare even if the price is giving up our vocation, or decided to stay in a job for safety even if we think that from there we can not advance our professional development, or resolve to partner with someone to do business if we have deep ethical differences.

It also happens that we want to teach others what the “right way” and we start to give advice or pressured our children to do something or stop doing the other. If we thought that the important thing in life is the achievement and accumulation of material objects and symbols of power, the councils would not be wrong, as there may be faster ways or shortcuts that lead to such goals.

Now, if we think that the important thing is to live our life with intensity and fullness, and choosing the ways that we have to serve us to deploy our potential, to become better people and participate in the miracle and mystery of the invention we same, we would conclude that only each of us can know what are the most appropriate ways at different times of our lives.

In this sense, the only option that we have is to follow the guidance of our inner voice. Carl Jung, who was the favorite disciple of Sigmund Freud and then follow his own path, said: “Only your vision will become clear when you look into your own heart. For he looks out and dreams who looks inside awakens.” There is no way of knowing what the right path for everyone, if not listening to our inner voice can tell us where to go and when we started, with the conviction that every path is unique and each target is personal.

To the extent that we move forward, these situations are multiplied and passed tests where we accept the challenge of decision making in uncertainty, with the only clear that the option we choose will affect our lives and that of the beings surround us. One of the responsibilities of those exercising leadership is to take these decisions with integrity and based on their own values and convictions. This is why Warren Bennis says that “Listening to the inner voice, trust the inner voice is one of the most important lessons of leadership.”
